In the summer of 2008, we took a motorcycle trip across Colorado and, for the first time, stayed in several different bed and breakfasts as we traveled. We fell in love and haven’t been back to a hotel since! Staying in B&B’s gave us the chance to experience Colorado in an intimate and meaningful way and to meet innkeepers across the state who were experts about their areas. We learned things about Colorado we never knew – and we are natives!
Growing up in Colorado, we always dreamed of living in a big, beautiful home in the Rocky Mountains! We both had long and fulfilling careers in public education, both as teachers and principals, but retirement was on the horizon. So we began our quest to find a home we could refurbish to create the perfect place to open our own bed and breakfast. We first saw this home in Evergreen in March of 2013 and recognized its potential. It was built to be a B&B and was run as the Ashley House for nine years back in the 90’s, but it needed to be updated. When we purchased the home, we knew we wanted to make it into something that would reflect the Colorado lifestyle – something that would honor the majestic beauty and the history of the Rockies. We began remodeling each area of the home until our vision of Mountain Bounty Bed and Breakfast became a reality!
We are honored that you choose to stay with us in this beautiful part of Colorado. Our goal is to ensure that your stay here is exceptional – that you fall in love with the area and take away wonderful memories that you will have for life. Here’s to enjoying the bounty of our Rocky Mountains!
